Disjecta presents the Rob Scheps Band, Tuesday March 11th at the IFCC

Rob Schepps poster

Saxophonist/Band Leader Rob Scheps loves to add nuance to his eponymous Big Band. And this time, he's really created a spark. Scheps brings extraordinary vocalist Hilary Gardner to Portland for a "return of the big band singer" showcase at the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center on Tuesday, March 11. Hilary joins Scheps' hand-chosen sixteen-piece musical treasure to offer a special one night only performance as they open their songbook like never before with nods to Sinatra, Holiday and Vaughan. Meet the band at its Basie-est best!

John Prine sing-a-long a success!

Thanks to the hard work of event organizers Dylan-Thomas Vance and Jeff Haigerty, over $800 was raised during Friday's musical event! Biddy McGraw's has offered their space to the local musicians and art activitsts for three years now, and the event attendance has grown exponentially! Funds raised this year were higher than what was raised during the previous two years put together!
