Stop Asian Hate

April 3, 2021

This year, we have seen a heartbreaking increase in cruelty and violence aimed at Asian communities. We at Ethos condemn the violence, hatred and racism that is being directed at the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. We grieve with you, we love you, and we stand with you.

We want our students to know that we see what is happening and we understand that this is sadly, not a new phenomenon. Ethos will continue to do everything we can, at all times, to be a safe space. We will not tolerate violence, racism, micro-aggressions or other forms of disrespect and dehumanization.

We also know that this is not a single faceted issue. Disregard for elders, extreme misogyny, and a host of other fear based, hate fueled motivators are intertwined with so much of the violence we see. Ethos will not tolerate cruelty, sexism, misogyny, or any other forms of disrespect and dehumanization.

We remain committed to solidarity with all BIPOC, gender minority and other marginalized and targeted groups. As such, we are continually educating ourselves. Below are links we would like to share on this topic from AAPI sources. Please let this only be a starting point. Let's keep working to be the change we wish to see in the world. Love is an action word.
