Home School Classes
Daytime music classes and field trips, built around your homeschool schedule.
Pricing
All Ethos programming is offered on a sliding scale, so cost never determines who gets to participate.
Instrumental, topic, and ensemble classes: $10 to $20 per student, per hour
Interdisciplinary and specialty classes: $15, $20, or $25 per student, per hour
Field trips: $10 to $12 per student
Space rentals: recital hall $50/hr, classrooms and practice rooms $20/hr, courtyard available for lunch or class time
Built for homeschool schedules
Our homeschool classes run during flexible daytime hours, at times that actually fit a homeschool day. Curriculum can be designed around what your group is already studying, so a music class can reinforce the rest of your lesson plan instead of competing with it. Beyond our regular classes and ensembles, we also offer field trips built specifically for homeschool groups.
Nearly any class we teach, whether it's already on our public schedule or not, can be arranged as a daytime session for your homeschool group. Contact us and we'll help you set it up.
See something you like? Ask.
If you've come across a class, ensemble, or workshop somewhere else on our site and want it for your homeschool group, ask us. Chances are we can bring it to a daytime slot that works for you. If you have an idea for something we don't currently offer, ask about that too. We build a lot of our homeschool programming around exactly these kinds of requests.

Field Trips
Bring your homeschool group to Ethos for a hands-on field trip led by our teaching artists. Browse what's currently available and register below.
Ethos exists to make music education accessible to every kid in Portland, and that includes homeschoolers who need a different kind of schedule to make it work. If something here doesn't quite fit what your group needs, reach out. We'll build a plan together.
